FLIR

FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) is a technology that detects and measures the heat emitted by objects within the infrared spectrum, as opposed to relying on the color information captured in the visual spectrum. Unlike traditional visual imaging, FLIR systems can identify objects based on their thermal signatures, making them particularly useful in low-light or obscured environments. Machine learning models can be trained on both infrared and visual images to enhance cross-spectrum object recognition and analysis.
